Within the project “Solarvalley Mitteldeutschland - BIPV”, KITIIP acts as a subcontractor in a consortium coordinated by the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems. The main goal of the project is to reduce the life cycle costs of BIPV-systems per kilowatt hour of energy supplied to reach grid parity. IIP is responsible for the economic assessment and optimization of alternative plant concepts, maintenance strategies and financing models. The project is funded by the ministry BMBF in the context of the High-Tech Strategy of the German Federal Government in the Leading-Edge Cluster “Solarvalley Mitteldeutschland”
